“ Last weekend we went to Tahoe for skiing and stayed at the Golden Nugget. On the casino floor theres a voted best seafood restaurant in Tahoe, so we went down to try it out. Its actually a bar where you sit on the bar LOL. No table seating. The bar is extremely clean and the servers are extremely pleasant and attentive. My son was craving for New England Clam Chowder and its so good that he finished it in a heart beat. He also wanted to try the Jambalaya dish that he used to have a long time ago in the long gone Elephant Bar many years ago. I also wanted to try the Jambalaya. They cooked the food right in front of us which is quite an eye feast and a nice experience. Very different from other restaurants. The Jambalaya is very delicious and full flavor with plenty of shrimps, chicken and sausages, although its not too spicy as some other places. My wife wanted to try the Bouillabaisse french seafood stew because it looked so good. There are all types of seafood in it, and the soup was so tasty, she loved it. Especially with the hot sourdough rolls to dip in the soup as a meal in itself. The price is amazingly affordable, the stew even has a lobster tail, plenty of crab legs, clams, mussels and fishes. The amber draft beer was great, we had a taste of both dark beer, we ended up with one and a bottle of Sapporo beer. They both went great with our foods. My daughter was busy with her homework so we got the clams chowder to go and some sourdough rolls and she loved them. Its nice to try something different and it came out great. A lucky day. ”

“ We had a fantastic experience on our first visit. The service was superb! We both had the bouillabaisse which was phenomenal. We arrived around 630 and we were first in line and waited maybe 10 min max. The cigarette smoke from the casino really wasnt too bothersome. Will definitely be back next trip to Lake Tahoe. ”

“ The Best Seafood Bar Ive Ever Been To! The Oyster is hands down the best seafood bar Ive ever visited! The seafood is unbelievably fresh and flavorfulIve never had anything this good before. We loved it so much that during our short stay in Lake Tahoe, we went twice! The bouillabaisse instantly became my absolute favorite souprich, perfectly seasoned, and simply unforgettable. On our second visit, we tried the cioppino, which was also delicious, but the bouillabaisse remains my top pick! On top of the amazing food, the atmosphere is cozy, and the service is excellent. If youre a seafood lover, this place is a mustvisit. Highly recommend! ”
“ Absolutely fantastic. We tried the bouillabaisse, jambalaya, steamed clams, and a dozen oysters. The chef truly is talented. They cook your whole meal right in front of you. Its bar seating but in a classy setting. We bought all of that, with two drinks for 135. We havent been able to get a quality meal for that price for TWO people in ages. The only drawback is the wait. We waited about an hour and that was around 8pm. It was well worth the wait. Zack was a great sous chef and server. All around on my top 10 favorite restaurants of all time for me. 1010 will return many times. ”

“ Great little gem inside a dumpy casino that needs to step up their game up but the Oyster Bar is worth the wait in line. Come with patience as they do have limited seating but it was all worth the wait. Service was fantastic, oysters, shrimp cocktail, crab seafood boil were all amazing. Definitely will come back again.
